We just LOVE our pictures. Doug Butler at Luminous Images Photography surpassed our expectations for our wedding pictures. His professionalism and the quality of his images were terrific. It was so fun having our pictures taken with Doug and Patricia; everyone enjoyed the process. We particularly appeciated his photojournalist approach to capture all the events of the day from the bride and her attendants getting their hair done in the morning to those special moments at the reception after the formalities were over. Doug Butler is a talented photographer who has a unique ability to capture all different angles of the objects and situations he is snapping into permanent memory. When he did us the honor of preserving the first few hours following the birth of our son, he not only was able to catch the expressions and moods of everyone involved during those moments, he also took photos that really highlighted this special time in our lives. One of Doug's many creative photo-feelings was his suggestion that Ben pose with our baby's tiny feet resting in the palm of his hand. This photo, along with the many others, will forever remind us of just how tiny and amazing our son was at his birth, forever preserving his newborn delicateness and innocence. Because of Doug's creativity, someday we will proudly show this photo to our son's children, and listen to them giggle in disbelief at how tiny their daddy was when he was a baby. We chose Doug Butler to photograph our two landmark buildings because of his sensitivity to historic structures and his ability to show our sites to the best advantage though lighting and perspective. Our goal was to have excellent photos for postcards of the oldest train depot and courthouse in the State of Washington, both of which are on the Local, State and National Registers of Historic Places. We feel that with Doug Butler we accomplished this.
